I really liked the starkness of the earlier version, but the mandolin really adds to it. In a sense it softens the tune, but somehow it also makes it more lonesome sounding. Go figure.

The original version of this recording features only Shmoo (me) on guitar and Andrea on vocal played live in one take.

This version features the talent of Fred Miller adding his own magic guitar and mandolin. It is his excellent mix too! (He downloaded our original version and simply added what he wanted ...and it turned out superb!)

I knew it would sound good with a mandolin on it !
This was already a great piece when shmoo & co. posted it and the mandolin of the Legendary Fred Miller has lifted it to the next level. I'm just along listening to this one. Every musician is really adding something and the total is real and emotive. Yeah ! !
